Thomas Dakin Gin is a classic London Dry Gin distilled in a baby copper pot still in small batches and the finest botanicals by G and J Distillers Master Distiller Joanne Moore in Warrington, near where Thomas Dakin distilled his original gin, the gin will eventually be made in a purpose built new distillery in Manchester by Thomas Dakin Distillers themselves. The recipe is inspired by Thomas Dakin, a young 18th century entrepreneur in northern England whose inventive and enlightened outlook paved the way for gin as we know it today. The 11 botanicals include juniper orange peel, grapefruit, angelica, liquorice, cubeb, English coriander and uniquely, the root botanical red Cole (the 18th century name for horseradish).
