Fay anti-bacterial hand sanitizer is a quick drying, alcohol-based hand rub containing ethanol (70% vol) as the active ingredient. It is highly effective against enveloped viruses, gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, and fungi. Enveloped viruses have lipid envelopes, and are relatively easy to inactivate. Examples of enveloped viruses include influenza, human viruses. These can remain infectious on surfaces after several days.
